Iran Medical Visa (T-Visa)
Nora Health Tour helps international patients coordinate their Iran medical visa (T-visa) application for planned medical treatment in Iran. Depending on your nationality and individual circumstances, obtaining a visa authorization code may take approximately 1–8 business weeks. However, processing times vary, and the relevant authorities make the final decision.
We coordinate visa applications for patients who book their treatment through Nora Health Tour and pay the required good-faith deposit and visa service fee. Our team guides patients through the application process and follows up on their applications. For official visa information and application guidance, visit the Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal. You can also learn more about our medical travel coordination process or contact our team for assistance.
How to Apply for an Iran Medical Visa
Step 1: Submit the Required Documents
To begin the Iran medical visa process through Nora Health Tour, please provide the following documents:
A clear digital copy of your passport’s information page.
A recent digital passport-style photograph.
The completed visa application form.
Proof of payment for the good-faith deposit and visa service fee.
Relevant medical records and, where required, an acceptance or approval letter from an authorized Iranian medical centre.
A résumé or CV, if required for your nationality or individual application.
Depending on your circumstances, the relevant authorities may request additional documents. Our team will guide you through the requirements for your application.
Step 2: Receive Your Visa Authorization Code
After submitting your documents, Nora Health Tour will coordinate the application process and follow up as appropriate. Once the relevant authorities approve the application, the visa authorization information will be sent to your registered email address, according to the applicable procedure.
Step 3: Obtain Your Visa
After receiving the required authorization, follow the instructions provided by the relevant Iranian embassy, consulate, or designated visa collection point. The available collection method depends on your nationality, application details, and current regulations. Do not assume that you can obtain your visa on arrival without prior authorization.
For official information, visit the Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal. If you need assistance with your medical travel arrangements, learn more about our coordination process or contact Nora Health Tour.
Digital Passport Copy Requirements
A clear digital image of your passport’s information page is an important part of your Iran medical visa application. To help avoid delays or rejection, make sure your image meets the following requirements:
Color: Submit a color image. Black-and-white or monochrome images may be rejected.
File format: Save the image in JPG or JPEG format.
File size: The image must be larger than 10 KB and no more than 500 KB.
Page: Include only the passport’s information page.
Orientation: Keep the image horizontal, with its width greater than its height. Align the page parallel to the image edges.
Resolution: Use a resolution of at least 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.
Image quality: Ensure the image is clear, evenly lit, and neither too dark nor too bright.
Legibility: Make sure all text and personal details are readable. Avoid glare, stains, shadows, blur, or other marks that obscure information.
Before uploading your image, check that all passport details are visible and accurate. If the image does not meet the applicable requirements, you may need to submit a replacement, which could delay your application.

Color: Submit a color photo. Black-and-white or monochrome images may be rejected.
File format: Use JPG or JPEG format.
File size: The image must be larger than 10 KB and no more than 500 KB.
Orientation: Use a vertical image, with the height greater than the width.
Resolution: The image must be at least 400 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.
Recency: Take the photo within the last six months so it reflects your current appearance.
Background: Use a plain, clear background without visible objects or distractions.
Position and expression: Face the camera directly, keep your head straight, maintain a neutral expression, and keep your eyes open.
Clothing: Do not wear uniforms. Religious clothing worn regularly is permitted.
Head coverings: Do not wear a hat. Religious head coverings are permitted if they do not obscure your face or cast shadows on it.
Accessories: Do not wear glasses, headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or similar accessories.
Original image: Do not submit a photo scanned from a passport, driver’s license, or another identity document. Use a clear, high-quality digital photograph rather than a low-quality image captured or processed with a mobile phone.
Before submitting your photo, check that your face is clearly visible, the lighting is even, and the image meets the applicable technical requirements. An unsuitable photo may delay your visa application or require you to submit a replacement.
Proof of Payment for the Good-Faith Deposit and Visa Service Fee
Good-Faith Deposit and Visa Service Fee
To help us coordinate your medical travel arrangements and plan your treatment journey, Nora Health Tour requires a good-faith deposit of USD 200–1,000, depending on your selected services and treatment plan. This deposit confirms your intention to proceed with the planned services and helps us coordinate the next steps of your medical trip. The good-faith deposit is part of your total treatment and service package price, not an additional charge. We deduct it from the total amount payable. For example, if your package costs USD 4,500 and you pay a USD 1,000 deposit, the remaining balance will be USD 3,500, payable in Iran.
Refund Policy
If your visa application is rejected: The good-faith deposit is fully refundable, in accordance with our refund policy. We can begin processing your visa application only after receiving the required payment and proof of payment.
If you cancel after receiving the visa authorization code: The management fee will be deducted from your deposit, and the remaining balance will be refunded, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Additional Companions
If you plan to travel to Iran with more than one companion, an additional service fee of USD 100 or EUR 85 per extra companion applies. If you cancel your trip after the visa authorization code has been issued, this additional fee is non-refundable.
Visa Service Fee and Consular Fee
The visa service fee covers the processing and submission of your request for a visa authorization code; it does not cover the visa itself. When collecting your visa through the designated embassy or consular office, you may also need to pay a separate consular visa fee. The amount depends on your nationality and the applicable consular rules. For official visa application information, visit the Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal.

FAQ
Yes. Although most visa applications submitted through Nora Health Tour have been approved based on our experience, approval is not guaranteed. The likelihood of rejection may vary depending on nationality, occupation, application details, and the assessment of the Iranian authorities. Applicants holding US, Canadian, or British passports may face a higher risk of rejection. Certain occupations, particularly journalism and politically related professions, may also require additional scrutiny, regardless of nationality. Our team will help you navigate the application process and prepare the required documents. However, the final decision rests with the relevant authorities.
Citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, India, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan, Somalia, the United Kingdom, and the United States are advised to submit their visa applications at least 1–2 months before their planned trip to Iran, as processing may take longer for these nationalities. We recommend applying as early as possible to allow sufficient time for processing. Please note that processing times may vary depending on individual circumstances and the requirements of the relevant authorities.
Some travelers may be eligible to obtain an Iranian visa at an international airport, depending on their nationality and the current visa regulations. However, airport visa issuance is not guaranteed, and applications may be refused.
For medical travel, Nora Health Tour recommends arranging your visa before departure to help reduce the risk of unexpected delays, additional costs, or disruption to your treatment plans. Based on our experience, Nora Health Tour can often coordinate the visa authorization code process within approximately 2–3 business days. However, processing times may vary depending on your nationality, application details, and the relevant authorities' procedures. For current requirements, visit the official Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal, or contact Nora Health Tour for assistance with your medical travel arrangements.
According to the visa information currently available to Nora Health Tour, citizens of the following countries cannot apply for an Iranian visa on arrival at the airport:

Travelers holding passports issued by Israel are subject to separate entry restrictions and should consult the relevant official guidance before making any travel plans. Visa eligibility and entry requirements may change. Before traveling, check the latest information through the official Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal. You can also contact Nora Health Tour for assistance with coordinating your medical trip.
In general, holding a nationality other than Israeli does not automatically prevent you from applying for an Iranian visa.
